The territory of Porto Azzurro is very small but has two beaches to consider: Barbarossa and Reale, which can be reached immediately after passing the town.
Both open into a small inlet sheltered from most winds except southerlies and have a sandy bottom mixed with fine gravel. Partly free and partly equipped with a bathing establishment, they offer restaurants, bars and a diving center.
On the other side very close are the sandy beaches of Lido di Capoliveri, Felciaio and Norsi, which face the southern side of the island, one after the other. The Lido is the busiest with numerous bathing establishments and various sea-related activities (canoe rental, boats, pedal boats, windsurfing schools) while the other two are more intimate, especially in the off-season.
Taking the Capoliveri area into consideration, Naregno, opposite Porto Azzurro, is a long sandy beach that is very well equipped, while the small beaches of Barabarca and Zuccale, which can be reached by taking the road just before arriving in Capoliveri, offer a minimum of facilities and unique beauty.
If you come on vacation with your dog, the Mola beach, very close to the villa, is dedicated to dogs, and you will find showers, changing rooms, beach chairs and umbrellas. The beach is swimmable for dogs only.
Depending on your needs and desires Kornelia will be able to point you to the best beaches to visit.
